With over 20 years of extensive experience in both playing and coaching rugby at international, professional, and club levels, Riaz Fredericks has proven himself a highly skilled and passionate rugby coach. Throughout his coaching career, he has excelled in cultivating robust team cultures, recruiting top-tier talent, and devising effective game strategies to unleash the full potential of his players. Serving as the Head Coach for Rugby Town International 7s - Tsunami Barbarians from 2018 to 2023, Coach Fredericks achieved notable success by recruiting international star Paul Eti Slater, leading the team to consistent triumphs, and clinching the Plate Winners title in 2021. Prior to this, Coach Fredericks served as Head Coach of the Santa Monica Rugby Club from 2016 to 2019, where he significantly elevated the team's performance, fostering a strong team culture. With playing experience in various professional leagues worldwide, including Hong Kong, Ireland, and the United States, and representing Hong Kong in the Rugby World Cup Sevens, Fredericks brings a wealth of firsthand knowledge to his coaching role.  Coach Fredericks possesses strong leadership, communication, and organisation skills. His ability to build and maintain positive relationships with players, coaches, and sponsors makes him an asset to our program. We are excited to have him as our Head Coach!
